Frequently Asked Questions
What is microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing where individual hair strokes are applied to add fullness, even out eyebrows, or completely create eyebrows.

What is semi-permanent?
Semi-permanent make up is a technique designed to enhance your natural features. The microblading artist creates strokes or shading beneath the surface area of skin with small amounts of pigment which fade to look very natural.

How long does microblading last?
Since microblading pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade overtime Microblading typically lasts 1-2 years, depending on skin type (normal, oily, dry), and age (youthful/mature).

How many treatments are needed?
Every client is different with pigment retention, and personal after care is very important for successful healed results. Most clients need two sessions and a refresher every two years. How many sessions you will need cannot be guaranteed because everyone’s skin is different. If your microblading does not heal perfectly after the first session, do not worry! We can always go darker and add more density at your next appointment. Adding shading also creates incredibly natural results!

Does microblading hurt?
We use a lidocaine topical anesthetic gel during the procedure. Pain tolerance will vary from person to person, but many clients have agreed that the pain is minimal.

What will my eyebrows look like right after the procedure?
Your eyebrows will look a bit darker and more intense than they will when healed. They will be dark for the first few days. After a few days the pigment will settle and gradually lighten. Redness is usually very minimal and many clients are able to resume usual activities immediately after microblading.

Can I get microbladed?
If you have very oily skin it is not recommended. Due to the oil production healed results can be patchy. In these cases, we recommend shading/microblading combo brows.

Can I be microbladed if I have little or no eyebrow hair?
If you do not have hair or have only a few hairs, microblading will appear more two dimensional. To achieve the most natural look, we can always add shading to create depth and dimension.
